Through the years there have been a multitude of replicas of the Red Special, built by amateurs and professionals, including two major commercial issues, with Guild guitars of the USA, and Burns Guitars of the UK. As of 2004, the commercial Red Special has at last come home. |

When Gibson moved from Kalamazoo,Michigan to Tennesse in the 70s, the employees decided to stay put and started Heritage guitars. To this day, the instruments are made in the same historic facility using handcrafted methods that were used to manufacture the vintage Gibsons. It is like going back in time to buy a vintage Gibson for a far more reasonable price. Stock pickups are Seymour Duncan's, Heritage Custom Handwounds and Lollars.
